Cultivating growth one conversation at a time
The quality of your life is a direct reflection of the quality of your conversations– this is an invitation to explore the relationships related to nourishing your needs; be courageous in your next step.
What sets Nourish the Need apart?
Connectivity
-
Our 50 minutes together is uniquely yours and is based entirely on your needs and goals…you will have my full attention. Whatever comes up during session, we will navigate and honor…while staying connected to your strengths. Coming from a place of supportive growth, I may look to bring to light some avoidance/coping behaviors that are no longer serving you. You’ll leave sessions with actionable steps that you can take toward a values-aligned, meaningful life– while holding space during our time in session for openness, honesty, trust and grace (and maybe, hopefully, some laughter too).
-
The time between sessions is where the real work happens— where the themes of therapy are brought into the day to day. The in-between is where you are challenged to confront the tension of the space of wanting to remain in your comfort zone and stretching to your learning zone (and ultimately, your growth zone). This can be hard to do alone which is why I offer office hours (via Voxer) for us to connect between sessions; to help remind you of the intentionality you had during session and/or to navigate the challenges of the day-to-day in real time.
-
On a weekly basis, I offer clients the opportunity to engage in fully customized homework assignments (created just for you!) that look to bridge the themes of therapy into the ‘real life’ challenges of being human. There is not a one-size-fits all approach as to how to “complete” homework- the work is meant to take on whatever meaning you see fit and however it best serves you and your needs.

“Beneath every behavior there is a feeling. And beneath each feeling is a need. And when we meet that need rather than focus on the behavior, we begin to deal with the cause, not the symptom.”
